Minimize any app to tray – even if it doesn't support it!
It is awesome feature to minimize app to tray, but every app doesn't support it. Example Thunderbird, best e-mail client on earth, can do this only via add-on and that add-on is windows only! Alltray is answer to this problem. It works well on gnome, xfce, kde and many other window manager. It is also quite easy to use.
Step by step guide to alltray
- 1 Install it
sudo apt-get install alltray - 2 First start app that you like to minimize
- 3 Launch alltray
- 4 Click close button of alltrays window to configure it
- 5 Click apps window you like to minimize
And it is done! My Thunderbird is in my tray!
Clicking icon will show/hide app. You can also minimize app by clicking close button. To remove or stop traying app right click icon.
